What to wear on Christmas Day

Champagne breakfasts, long lunches, gift unwrapping & non-stop photo moments - We all know the 25th of December feels like the longest day of the year. For the day we never want to end, we’ve rounded up the coolest & most fashionable outfits you should be wearing.

Long printed dresses are a festive season must-have. Compliment your printed piece with colourful accessories - because why not, it’s Christmas.

Floaty tops & linen pants are basic Summer essentials. Go for bright colours & vibrant prints for a fresh Christmas day feeling.

Cool navy is the way to go if you like to play down your look but still be the best-dressed. Match this classic shade back with pearls or crystal drop earrings.

Total comfort counts on Christmas Day so keep it simple in a one-piece with a bold floral print & glamorous outfit additions.

The Youth Project: Part Three

It’s officially feeling like Summer as we reveal Hannah’s completed Youth Project design. This incredibly vibrant, tiered midi dress made from unique Indian Batik is the dress we all want coming into the hotter season.

Named after the ‘Holi’ festival in India the dress embodies just that, a celebration of colour, love and joy.

Take a closer look for yourself and prepare to pre-order or drop into the boutique as this beauty will hit the Tengdahl racks very soon!

The Youth Project: Part Two

This week we enter the design stage of The Youth Project. Hannah explores her design concept deeper and begins to experiment with the construction process.

Watch as her idea comes to life and her confidence as a designer flourishes.

The Youth Project: Part One

Running a fashion label for almost three decades doesn't come without an abundance of inspiration and influence. Julie has found that an inclusive working environment fuels her ideas and solidifies her final products.

Hannah certainly plays a role in how each collection comes to life. Her position as assistant sample maker means she is an integral part of the production and technical elements of the design. From concept, design, sampling, through to final production, Hannah knows exactly what it takes to create a Tengdahl garment.

The Youth Project is about finding a youthful perspective and encouraging creativity in our bespoke workplace.

On this journey Hannah will be choosing her own textiles, producing her designs and manufacturing the garments as a collaborative journey with Julie and the Tengdahl team, available this Summer.

Spring Racing Ready

Before the holiday season begins there's still one more thing we need to tick off our social calendars for 2018. The spirit of Spring Racing Carnival already has us buzzing, but the most sartorially inspired events are yet to come. It's our favourite time of the year to experiment with colour or go bold with a monochrome palette.

Known for its traditional 'black & white' dress code, Derby Day is a day to be unique. Combining tulle and lace textures is a great way to create interest for your outfit.
